Importing, matching, and cleaning contact data.

## Why should I keep contacts updated?

Clean contacts improve match accuracy, especially when event titles do not include a phone number. They also keep your group messaging and reporting cleaner.

## When does Etisia save a contact automatically?

When Etisia can read a valid phone number from an event, it can create a contact if that number does not already exist.

If the title also includes first and last name (for example "John Smith 415 555 014•"), it stores those too. With phone-only titles, it still stores the phone contact.

## How can I import contacts quickly?

In Contacts, you can add people one by one, fill in a table, or import a vCard file.

Before importing, use a consistent phone number format and remove obvious duplicates.

## Can I edit many contacts at once?

Yes. Bulk editing lets you update multiple contacts in one go without opening each card one by one.

## How does Etisia handle duplicate contacts?

Etisia tries to prevent duplicates, especially by phone number. If you find duplicates, keep one primary contact and remove the rest.
