Data deletion and revoking access

Delete your Etisia account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from inside Etisia:

  1. Open Profile in the Etisia dashboard.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. We email a confirmation code to your account address. Nothing is removed until you enter it.
  4. Enter the code and confirm. Deletion runs immediately.

If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account, or use the contact page. We verify it is you before deleting anything.

Want a copy first? Request a data export from the same Profile page before you delete; the export is delivered to your account address.

What deletion removes

When you confirm, we permanently delete from our live systems:

  • Your clients and their phone numbers
  • Every reminder and follow-up message record, including delivery outcomes
  • Review-request settings, review messages, and review page activity
  • Group campaigns and their message logs
  • Your connected Google account link and stored Google tokens
  • Every connected calendar, its settings, and the appointment data we synced from it
  • Team settings and members, if you own a team
  • Your account in our email tool

Google Calendar itself is not touched: your appointments stay in your calendar, and the status markers Etisia added to event titles, such as (SMS sent ✅), stay there too. Edit them out of the titles whenever you like.

What we keep, and why

A small set of records survives deletion because the law or your clients’ rights require it:

  • Opt-out records, stored as one-way hashes of phone numbers, so a client who replied STOP is never messaged again, even if you sign up later.
  • Consent metadata and anti-abuse records, to document that consent existed and to enforce sending limits.
  • Billing records and invoices, held by our payment provider for as long as tax law requires.

None of these identify your clients by name or message content.

Backup copies are removed within 30 days.

Revoke Google access without deleting your account

You can cut Etisia off from Google Calendar and keep your account:

  • In Etisia: open the calendar and choose Disconnect. Reminders for that calendar stop immediately.
  • In your Google Account: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, find Etisia Appointment Reminders for Google Calendar™, and choose Remove access. Etisia’s stored token becomes invalid at once.
  • In Google Calendar: open the add-on’s menu in the side panel and choose Uninstall, or remove it from the Google Workspace Marketplace under Manage apps.

Revoking access at Google without disconnecting in Etisia leaves your account in a “needs reconnecting” state; the add-on and the dashboard both show it and offer a one-click reconnect.

For Google Workspace administrators

If you installed Etisia for your organisation, removing it from the Admin console (Apps → Google Workspace Marketplace apps) revokes access for every user at once. User data held by Etisia is not deleted by that step; each user, or you on their behalf via support, requests deletion as described above. See the administrator guide.
